The recruiting roadshow “Las Vegas” is over but its influence is certainly nowhere close to being over. I was not disappointed in what I experienced. Let me give you a rundown. First we saw an engaging presentation by Doug Geinzer from www.recruitingneveda.com about the recruiting landscape and what it meant for Las Vegas. Listening to him and looking at all the research he does to keep a viable candidate pipeline was just nothing short of impressive. Then we had Richard Becker from http://copywriteink.blogspot.com who have a brief rundown of social networking sites, he sprinkled his presentation with useful tips to get the most out of your network.
We also were priviledged to hear fron Don Ramer, www.Arbita.net he presented us with a thought provoking overview of recruiting. He walked us through where recruiting was, where it is, and the direction is taking. He spoke softly, deliberately and delivered a presentation full of wisdom. I truly enjoyed listening to him speak.
The roadshow closed with a presentation from Mr. John Sumser who brought it all into a very well done conclusion and application of the different discussions we had participated in with a spin on the generational differences and how they appear in the workplace.
It was a thrill to see, Jason Davis, from http://www.recruitingblogs.com, Dave Mendoza from http://sixdegreesfromdave.com, Dan Harris from http://sourcingtalent.wordpress.com . it was truly well worth the trip. I hope I get to participate in other events like these where, as Mr. Sumser says, ”the focus is on sharing freely the recruiting knowledge and experience to elevate the recruiting industry to the next performance level”.
