windows-logo.jpgOver the years thru the many webinars and one-on-one trainings and what have you. There is always somebody who would ask me “how did you do that?” And it inevitably they reffered to a keyboard shortcut I used.  And in a conversation today, the talk happen to go to this same issue and I thought may be I should show you some of the common shortcuts and some not so common ones that can help you economize some time.

These time-saving shortcuts are called Hotkeys and they offer powerful ways to manuever your way around most popular windows applications.

The first shorctcut that I would like to share with you allows you to navigate thru multiple open applications or programs. Press the “CTRL” Key and hold it down, while doing so hit the “Tab” Keyand it will allow you to toggle between whatever open screens you have. While still holding the “CTRL” down hit the tab key once for each program open until you select the one you want to use and then release both keys.

Another  useful tip is to press the “Windows” key (that is the one with the windows logo that you see in the upper left hand corner of this article), and hit the “D” key and watch as all the application that you have open be minimized all at once. If you do it a second time it will maximize them back to their original position. Is that cool or what.

Moset of us have used “CTRL”+ “C” to copy, and “CTRL”+ “V” to paste, or even “CTRL”+ “X” to cut the text and store it to the clipboard, but did you know that “CTRL”+ “Z” will Undo what ever function you just performed? or how about “CTRL”+”Y” to reverse that last Undo action.
